CAREER ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

Explorers can earn a Career Achievement Award in one or all 12 career fields. To earn a Career Achievement Award, the Explorer must be registered in a post, provide 50 hours of community service and complete any nine career achievements as outlined in the award packet. The Exploring post advisor certifies that the Explorer has satisfactorily performed 50 hours of community service and verifies that the candidate has completed at least nine achievements within the career field.

CAREER AWARENESS AWARD

Exploring programs involve active learning and include lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities. Exploring promotes the conditions necessary for the growth and development of youth. The following are the key components of the Career Awareness Award, which encourages young people to explore a variety of career options as they begin the journey of discovering their future. The purpose of the Career Awareness Award is to:

· Provide direction to Explorers registered in a club as they begin the career discovery journey.

· Motivate Explorers to discover new career opportunities.

· Recognize Explorers for significant community service.

The Career Awareness Award is for those Explorers registered in an Exploring club, between the ages of 10 and 14. More details about the award can be found by downloading the Career Awareness Award packet.

CONGRESSIONAL AWARD
