National Police Week 2014

Following a day of rain and thunderstorms in Washington, DC, Sunday, 11 May, the first day of National Police Week, was a beautiful day framed by a blue sky and bright sunshine. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial was filled with law enforcement officers and visitors and off in the distance what sounded like thunder increasing in intensity could clearly be heard. The cause of that thunder-like sound was 1,500 motorcycles, all operated by law enforcement officers, participating in the Annual Law Ride from JFK Stadium to the memorial where a wreath laying ceremony was conducted to start the week’s activities. Chief of Police (retired) Veid Muiznieks received the prestigious William H. Spurgeon, III Award at the National Law Enforcement Exploring Committee meeting in Philadelphia on October 21, 2013. Read about it here...

We are proud to announce the creation of Middle School Explorer Clubs! Interest in career orientation has skyrocketed in recent years. All across the country, schools are conducting research into the career interests of middle school students. Read about this exciting new development here.
